ABSTRACT While members of a generation have different characteristics and values than their peers, they often share similar values that are rooted in the times in which they grew up. The purpose of this manuscript is to explore how family, occupational, financial and societal values of Generation Y have changed since September 11, 2001. The results indicate that community service and family are more important. Regarding careers, the results indicate that income is less important while job independence is more important.
